Italy-Amo. STUDY HOLIDAY IN ITALY

The aim of the ESF LANGUAGE SERVICE, the Linguistic Centre, is to make our city a meeting place for foreign students who wish to learn the Italian language.

Our project, which we have called ItalyAmo focuses on the strength and enthusiasm of you students who will surely be able to give us and, above all, aims to satisfy your desire to know our language and our places.

Caserta, our city, is well connected with Naples and its islands, is rich in history and culture.

WHERE WE ARE

Caserta covers a total area of 56 square kilometers; it includes, in addition to the capital, 23 hamlets. Among these we remember San Leucio, aggregated to Caserta under fascism, famous for the Real Belvedere; the silk factories, Casertavecchia, with its medieval village, the castle and the 1100s Cathedral, in Arab-Romanesque style.

From an urbanistic point of view, it is linked with other important centers of the province, in particular: to the south, with Marcianise, where most of the industries of the Caserta area are concentrated; to the north, with Santa Maria Capua Vetere, where there are the Court and the remains of a Roman amphitheater.

Caserta is located in a strategic position with respect to the major road axes and situated in the center of the Via Sannitica, the road wanted by the Bourbons.

The municipality of Caserta ranks 34th out of 45 provincial capitals with a population of less than 80,000 inhabitants and, overall, shows an index (38.23%) lower than that of all the other provincial capitals of Campania.

OUR CENTER AND OUR EXPERIENCE

The center was founded in 2016, strongly backed by the founder Luigia Palmiero and thanks to the collaboration of highly qualified and experienced teachers in the field of language training. Our teaching staff is able to adopt the most up-to-date teaching methods, allowing learners to learn quickly and in a high quality.

We offer not only group lessons but also individual lessons aimed at preparing the exam to obtain the prestigious linguistic certification diplomas (CELI), issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia and recognized throughout the world.

METHOD

Students are immediately encouraged to communicate, guiding them to use grammatically correct language that is appropriate to real situations. Teachers encourage them to take an active part in the lessons, involving them directly in educational and cultural activities, making them participate in group work, discussions and debates.

Students participate in specific lessons of Italian grammar, reading and listening to passages to deepen and improve language structure, vocabulary, vocabulary and idiomatic phrases.

With the participation of a teacher / tourist guide, one or two lessons – which include the slide show (in Italian and English) – are dedicated, in part, to the projection and introduction on the destinations and itineraries provided by the excursions. The aim is to develop and take care of the oral and written language, without neglecting the cultural aspect of Italian civilization.
